I’m convinced this is the best screen free activ I’m convinced this is the best screen free activity you could ever do with your family. My kids love watching the birds out at our bird feeder, so we added a second one to the backyard. Bird feeding is an incredible low cost hobby that teaches about birds and nature, how to care for animals, and honestly is bringing so much joy to our day.Check out @projectwildbird to learn more about all the bird feeding basics and where to find your local birding stores. Also, with Mother’s and Father’s Day coming up they have a great spring gift guide up on their website!@wildbirdfeedinst #ProjectWildbird #WBFI #BirdFeeding #BackyardBirds
Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gathe Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gatherings, brunches and gifts can be nice on Mother’s Day, it’s also just a day on the calendar. Celebrating on a different day doesn’t take away from honoring you as a mom. Sharing the holiday with a mom or a mother in law or other family doesn’t make it less. If making plans for this weekend is stressing you out, it’s totally okay to do something lowkey instead. And if we’re really being honest here, moms deserve to be honored and celebrated more than just one day of the year. The “just because” flowers are always way more special than any big Mother’s Day bouquet IMO.
This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime s This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime solution I’ve found in a long time. @delrealfoods is made with real ingredients and authentic flavors and tastes like everything has been slow cooked all day and made in small batches. And the reality? Dinner’s on the table in just FIVE minutes. There’s really no easier way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday.Find @delrealfoods at Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores near you.
Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve do Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve done yet. Cantwell Cliffs: it’s a one mile rim + one mile gorge trail with several ways you can make it shorter, but I highly recommend the whole thing. It’s rated difficult for the steep terrain and steps, but still kid-friendly IMO. It also feels a little less traveled than some of the more popular hikes and all the little waterfalls along the trail are worth discovering.Trailhead: 13640 OH-374, Rockbridge, OH@myhockinghills #hockinghills #hockinghillsstatepark #hikingwithkids #ohiohiking #hikingtrail

Yesterday was the first day of fall. Can you believe it? It was nearly 90 degrees around here, so it’s really hard to think about pumpkin spice lattes and all things fall, but the truth is that the holidays are right around the corner. In the small shop world, all holidays come early. If you’re a procrastinator like me, it can be hard to keep up. So I’m here to help! I know it’s not October quite yet, but if you’re a fan of Halloween, you’re already a little late on ordering your Halloween tees for you and your littles. I’ve put together a quick list of 13 Halloween fashion must-haves so you can get right to shopping. While I’ve also included your order deadlines for each shop, some brands have limited sizing. Make sure you order soon so you don’t miss out on the size you need.

1. Come, We Fly tee from Darling June Co., $22
Hocus Pocus fan, anyone? It’s hands down my favorite movie and I’m so thrilled to see all the shops with Hocus Pocus-inspired designs this year. And if you’re not a fan of the movie, Darling June has other Halloween designs too.

5. Sugar Skull Cat romper from Henry and Claire, $36
Don’t be intimidated by the lack of snaps on this romper. I actually love this style for Caleb – the romper is so easy to slip on and off for diaper changes. And this sugar skull cat is so adorable. This particular design only has a few rompers left, but there are also a couple other Halloween designs in the shop.

12. Personalized Trick or Treat Bags from Little Lulu’s Bling Boutique, $30
Liam got one of these for Halloween this year and he is so excited to use it. This is way better than using a pillowcase or one of those hard pumpkin buckets (Liam always spills his by accident). There are three bag style options (pumpkin, ghost and spider) and you can personalize it with your child’s name.

Where to order: littlelulusblingboutique.com

13. Masks from Opposite of Far, $20+
Opposite of Far has been one of my favorite small shops since Liam was born. Their collection of masks is amazing and I love that they’ve added tails, ears and paws over the last year or two. What I love about Opposite of Far is that these aren’t just Halloween-specific costumes. Once Halloween is over, Liam’s mask and tail go into his toy box. This way, we can have super fun imaginative play all year long. There are so many different animal options, but don’t forget to check out their crowns, beards and superhero masks too.

Last day to order in time for Halloween: October 10th
Discount code: WEARLOVEWANDERS for 15% off
Where to order: oppositeoffar.com

I actually still need to order Liam’s mask and tail from Opposite of Far. We haven’t decided what to get yet. What will your child be for Halloween? Drop a comment below and tell me all about it!
