I’m convinced this is the best screen free activ I’m convinced this is the best screen free activity you could ever do with your family. My kids love watching the birds out at our bird feeder, so we added a second one to the backyard. Bird feeding is an incredible low cost hobby that teaches about birds and nature, how to care for animals, and honestly is bringing so much joy to our day.Check out @projectwildbird to learn more about all the bird feeding basics and where to find your local birding stores. Also, with Mother’s and Father’s Day coming up they have a great spring gift guide up on their website!@wildbirdfeedinst #ProjectWildbird #WBFI #BirdFeeding #BackyardBirds
Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gathe Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gatherings, brunches and gifts can be nice on Mother’s Day, it’s also just a day on the calendar. Celebrating on a different day doesn’t take away from honoring you as a mom. Sharing the holiday with a mom or a mother in law or other family doesn’t make it less. If making plans for this weekend is stressing you out, it’s totally okay to do something lowkey instead. And if we’re really being honest here, moms deserve to be honored and celebrated more than just one day of the year. The “just because” flowers are always way more special than any big Mother’s Day bouquet IMO.

And the reality? Dinner’s on the table in just FIVE minutes. There’s really no easier way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday.Find @delrealfoods at Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores near you.
Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve do Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve done yet. Cantwell Cliffs: it’s a one mile rim + one mile gorge trail with several ways you can make it shorter, but I highly recommend the whole thing. It’s rated difficult for the steep terrain and steps, but still kid-friendly IMO. It also feels a little less traveled than some of the more popular hikes and all the little waterfalls along the trail are worth discovering.Trailhead: 13640 OH-374, Rockbridge, OH@myhockinghills #hockinghills #hockinghillsstatepark #hikingwithkids #ohiohiking #hikingtrail

We hit 34 weeks on Saturday. 34 weeks of pregnancy. That means that there’s only six (or less!) weeks left until we meet our sweet girl. I honestly have no idea how the last several months just flew by. It seemed like we had all the time in the world and then *poof*, our due date is fast approaching.

Holiday season is always crazy for us anyway, before you even add in baby girl’s arrival. Since she’s due right around Christmas, we’re trying really hard to balance the time we have left as a family of four with the holiday hustle and bustle. So in addition to all the baby things like packing a hospital bag and installing the car seat, we’re also trying to do things like:

– Squeeze in one last family holiday trip
– Do all the family holiday activities, like photos with Santa and checking out holiday light displays around town
– Create some special family memories together with the boys
– Holiday baking
– Get all our gift shopping done early

It’s a lot, I know. And I’m sure it will be crazy per usual. But I also want to really make the most of these last few weeks together before baby sister arrives. So while we’re busy trying to fit it all in, we’re also trying to create some moments of calm where we can just step away from all the holiday chaos. And our favorite place to do that is Culver’s.

Culver’s is a great place to take a break from the busyness of the holidays, whether it’s after a trip to the zoo to see the holiday lights, or in between a busy day of Christmas shopping. It’s also a great dinner option when we’ve spent all day baking Christmas cookies and don’t feel like cooking at home. They serve a variety of items, so everyone can find something they want. And trust me, that is such a big deal when you’re going out to eat with kids.

Their Value Baskets include fries and a drink, making meals easy. The boys love the chicken strips from Culver’s and the Value Baskets usually give them plenty of food to fuel up on and a little leftover for another snack or meal. And if you have room, you can’t miss out on one of their Concrete Mixers. I’ve also been known to swing by Culver’s for a scoop of Fresh Frozen Custard depending on the flavor of the day. Because #pregnancycravings.

We even make it a point to stop at Culver’s when we travel. Our family has a favorite location that is the perfect place to stop on the way to Nana and Papa’s house in Michigan. We can always time the drive just right for lunch and it gives us a chance to get out of the car and stretch our legs. Culver’s warm hospitality makes it a family-friendly restaurant. So whether the kids are tired and grumpy from being in the car for a few hours or have extra energy to burn off, I know that we’ll feel perfectly welcome at Culver’s.

What’s even more exciting is that you can visit your local Culver’s (or your nearest location if you happen to be traveling) between now and December 29th and receive a coupon for a free Value Basket when you purchase $30 in gift cards. That’s a meal you can enjoy now and gift cards your family can use later or give to someone on your holiday gift list. I’m a multi-tasker, so I like the idea of being able to take a break with my family and still check something off my list at the same time.

Growing up, Culver’s was the place I could get together and connect with friends. I love that Culver’s is still the place where our family can come and unwind after a day full of holiday cheer. I imagine we’ll soon be creating some new memories here as a family of five, but for now, the four of us are certainly enjoying our time together.
