One of my favorite things to do in New York City a One of my favorite things to do in New York City and it only costs $6! But seriously, the @theseaglasscarousel in Battery Park is a downtown Manhattan staple and one that not everyone knows about. Definitely add this to your NYC itinerary.
Have you heard about the rooftop lounge in Powell Have you heard about the rooftop lounge in Powell everyone keeps talking about? We had date night at the new @lanirooftop the other night (our second time there) and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that we didn’t also order the Caesar salad because it’s my favorite, but we absolutely did not have room to order anything else. The Harissa Roast Cauliflower was our favorite this time, but there was not a bad bite to be found. And if you’re looking for a NA beverage, they have a great list of refreshers or you can ask the bartender to make you something off menu. Speaking of the bartenders, they’re fantastic and I highly recommend sitting at the bar if you want a different vibe or it’s not patio weather outside. Save this one for your next Columbus night out! @visitdelohio @visit_powell @experiencecolumbus #columbusohio #cbusfoodscene #cbusfoodbloggers #lanirooftop #delawareohio

Finally got around to checking out @hulihulidownto Finally got around to checking out @hulihulidowntown’s new location in Columbus. It’s much smaller than their Powell location, but the same vibes and great food and drinks are there. Prep all your toppings ahead of time, then when you’re in need of a quick dinner, let the kids choose their favorite mashed potato flavor and top to their hearts’ desire. But the possibilities are endless and with everyone building their own, they can make it exactly how they want it. This trip felt incredibly important. My grandmothe This trip felt incredibly important. My grandmother turned 104 this past weekend, her sister turning 100 not too long ago, and the loss of their brother and sister-in-law (both over 100) earlier this year. I hope we have them both for years to come, but I’m also so grateful that my kids have had the chance to build memories with them. It’s easy to think there will always be another visit, but this weekend was a reminder to soak up every moment you can and to always, always be willing to listen to that one story for the millionth time because they love sharing it.
How is it that just two years ago we were sitting How is it that just two years ago we were sitting at one of our favorite places telling the kids our family was about to grow by one more, and then this weekend that same little girl was sitting at the table stealing bites of everyone’s cake and ice cream? Disclosure: I received this product from Feltman Brothers in exchange for images and a review. All thoughts and opinions in this blog post are completely my own.

You know me – I always love a good graphic tee and a pair of harem pants or shredded jeans on my kids. But as fun as they are, I also understand that these items are on trend for now, but next season may look totally different. That’s why, especially with Caleb, it was important to me to curate some heirloom pieces for his wardrobe too. I’ve been really selective in this area, because I’m collecting items that I know will be worn by any future children of ours as well as possibly their own kids too. I’m SO excited about Caleb’s new sweater from Feltman Brothers.

Founded in 1916, Feltman Brothers has been making traditional heirloom pieces for babies and toddlers for over 100 years. Their clothes are perfect for special occasions like holidays and christenings, but they have play wear too. So if you really love this style, your baby can definitely get away with wearing these clothes every day.

It was harder than I thought choosing something from Feltman Brothers for Caleb. But I eventually settled on their grey hooded button down cable knit cardigan.

Guys, this sweater is super soft and so incredible well made. As soon as I took it out of the package, I could instantly tell that the sweater is great quality and definitely made to last. It has a classic profile that will never get out-dated.

I think the detailing on this sweater is what I love most. The pockets are adorable and I love the oversized cuffs. The cable knit design on the sleeves and hood are really well done and add some texture to the sweater. And that hood? Well, who doesn’t love a little hood on baby clothes? So adorable.

I’m a huge fan of neutrals (if you haven’t guessed), so that’s why I chose the grey. But it comes in blue and pink as well. Feldman Brothers offers sizing from 3 months to 4T. I love this, because it’s always so sad when I find clothes I love and then my kids grow out of them. If you’re like me, you can stock up on multiple sizes knowing that it’ll never go out of style.

I could really picture Caleb or Liam in almost every outfit the Feltman Brothers carries. They’d be the cutest little gentlemen! Ultimately, I landed on the sweater because we’re heading into fall. I know this is going to get a ton of use. It will definitely keep Caleb nice and cozy as we head into the cooler months.

The sweater we own from Feltman Brothers retails for $44.50. Which, if I’m being completely honest, is a price point that stretches our clothing budget a little. But you also have to keep in mind that this sweater is built to last. I feel like I can pack it away once Caleb outgrows it and save it for another baby. Or another generation. So in that way, I feel like it’s worth the higher cost. A lot of the clothes we own from other shops, as much as we love them, don’t have that same ability.

If you’d like to see this sweater and any of the other items available at Feltman Brothers, you can shop right on their website. They also have items available at a handful of stores throughout the U.S. A list of those stores can be found here. You can also check out their social media for sales, giveaways and new releases. They’re on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

I plan to shop with Feltman Brothers again soon – I have my eye on a couple of their knit blankets. Take a look at let me know what you’ll be adding to your child’s own wardrobe!
