I’m convinced this is the best screen free activ I’m convinced this is the best screen free activity you could ever do with your family. My kids love watching the birds out at our bird feeder, so we added a second one to the backyard. Bird feeding is an incredible low cost hobby that teaches about birds and nature, how to care for animals, and honestly is bringing so much joy to our day.Check out @projectwildbird to learn more about all the bird feeding basics and where to find your local birding stores. Also, with Mother’s and Father’s Day coming up they have a great spring gift guide up on their website!@wildbirdfeedinst #ProjectWildbird #WBFI #BirdFeeding #BackyardBirds
Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gathe Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gatherings, brunches and gifts can be nice on Mother’s Day, it’s also just a day on the calendar. Celebrating on a different day doesn’t take away from honoring you as a mom. Sharing the holiday with a mom or a mother in law or other family doesn’t make it less. If making plans for this weekend is stressing you out, it’s totally okay to do something lowkey instead. And if we’re really being honest here, moms deserve to be honored and celebrated more than just one day of the year. The “just because” flowers are always way more special than any big Mother’s Day bouquet IMO.
This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime s This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime solution I’ve found in a long time. @delrealfoods is made with real ingredients and authentic flavors and tastes like everything has been slow cooked all day and made in small batches. And the reality? Dinner’s on the table in just FIVE minutes. There’s really no easier way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday.Find @delrealfoods at Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores near you.
Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve do Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve done yet. Cantwell Cliffs: it’s a one mile rim + one mile gorge trail with several ways you can make it shorter, but I highly recommend the whole thing. It’s rated difficult for the steep terrain and steps, but still kid-friendly IMO. It also feels a little less traveled than some of the more popular hikes and all the little waterfalls along the trail are worth discovering.Trailhead: 13640 OH-374, Rockbridge, OH@myhockinghills #hockinghills #hockinghillsstatepark #hikingwithkids #ohiohiking #hikingtrail

JORD Wood Watch Review+ Giveaway

Jamie says that one of my biggest love languages is gifts. That doesn’t mean that I need grand, expensive gifts lavished upon me for every special occasion or just because. But I do place great value on gifts given to me that are unique, interesting, meaningful and/or require some significant thought from the gift giver. This is also how I like to give gifts. In fact, a lot of times the gifts I give other people mean more to me than the ones I receive.

So what happens when you’re married to a man who’s a self-proclaimed minimalist who needs (or wants for) nothing? Let me tell you…I have the hardest time buying gifts for my husband for any and all occasions. This year, though, I think I’ve found the perfect thing: a JORD wood watch.

Jamie’s wearing the Frankie watch in dark sandalwood and smoke. We both really liked the more classic, minimalist look and darker wood color to this watch. It’s also available in zebrawood, ebony and even purpleheart for those that like a little more color. It really suits Jamie, worn with a simple tee shirt and a pair of jeans, but I imagine it will also look sleek with a dress shirt and tie on our next date night. To be completely honest, Jamie doesn’t consider himself to be in-the-know on the latest style trends. He does, however, like my taste in style and doesn’t mind whenever I give his closet a little upgrade.

We were also able to have the watch custom-sized to Jamie’s wrist when we ordered it. We received the extra links in the package, so if at any point it needs to be resized, we can take it to a nearby jeweler to have it done. Speaking of the packaging, JORD knows how to create an experience. Jamie’s watch arrived in a stunning wood box and wrapped around a tweed pillow. . It was hard for me to remove the watch because I couldn’t stop admiring how amazing it looked in its packaging.

JORD has both men’s and women’s watches (click on the links to check out all the styles). They’re beautifully-made, hand-crafted timepieces. These unique wooden watches match my love for modern style with Jamie’s desire for simplicity. Sustainability and ethically-sourced materials are two things that are important to me when choosing items to purchase. I love that you can see on the JORD website where the materials for your watch were sourced from. I’m actually planning on adding a cool JORD wood watch to my own Christmas list this year.

Now for the GIVEAWAY! I’m so excited to tell you that I’ve teamed up with JORD watches to give one winner a $75 e-gift code to put towards the watch of his or her choice! And if you’re not generally super lucky (like me, because I rarely win anything), you’ll still want to enter. ALL entrants will get a $20 e-gift code automatically e-mailed to you just for entering. So if you’re adding a JORD watch to your Christmas list this year, you can save a little bit on it too! The e-gift codes expire 2/28/17, in case you’re a planner like me and are already thinking ahead to Valentine’s day. Entering is super easy – just click on the link below!

I love the way this watch looks! Maybe one day, but we gifted ourselves fitness tracker watches last Christmas so it seems wasteful to have another. I’ll have to keep this in mind though…
