Overnight diapers aren’t just for nighttime. As Overnight diapers aren’t just for nighttime. As a mom of four, they’re also one of my favorite mom hacks for taking little ones on the go. @huggies Overnites have up to 100% leak free and nighttime protection and are extra absorbent for uninterrupted sleep and comfort. All the naps in the car, stroller and carrier? Those are vital for surviving a long day out of the house with a baby and big siblings. And Walmart just launched a new pack size for about $20 making them even easier to add to your nighttime and on the go routine.#huggies #huggiesovernites

Costco snack challenge - think I can make it in an Costco snack challenge - think I can make it in and out and only buy @snackjacksons sweet potato chips? #sponsoredJackson’s Chip are my family’s favorite snack - they’re made only with avocado oil (no seed oils, ever), kettle cooked for the most amazing crunch, and the sea salt flavor only has three ingredients. Also, as a food allergy family, we love that Jackson’s is top 9 allergen free, so these are perfect for school, camp and sharing with friends. You can now find Jackson’s sea salt sweet potato chips at Costco Midwest 🙌🏻
If you’re looking for a family-friendly all-you- If you’re looking for a family-friendly all-you-can-eat buffet in Columbus, @thefeastbuffet has it all. Such a great variety of sushi, stir fry, dim sum, fruit, hibachi and pho, plus a rotating menu of kid-friendly favorites like mac and cheese, French fries and chicken nuggets. My picky eaters and more adventurous eaters can all find something they love to eat. Pricing for kids is based on height - kids under 36” are free and kids 36-55” are half price. We went for lunch, which was $16.99 and absolutely a great deal. Especially if you’re like us and feeding a family of six. Pricing for dinner and weekends is more, but you also get more seafood options and it’s still a really good price for the selection. 📍 2620 Bethel Rd, Columbus#columbus #columbusohio #cbusfoodscene #cbusfoodbloggers #cbusfoodie

We had the BEST day at the @childrensmuseum and I’m still surprised we packed so much in. The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience was hands down our favorite. It’s 7.5 acres of outdoor experiences where kids can try out so many different sports in “my-sized” equipment. There’s basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, football, track and field, and so much more. There’s even a pedal car racetrack and a giant sports-themed tree house to play in. Tiana’s Joyful Celebration was another favorite. The whole exhibit is themed for Mardi Gras season in 1928 New Orleans and it’s all so colorful and festive. You also can’t miss their antique carousel, revisiting nostalgic American pop culture, giant dinosaurs, immersing yourself in Peruvian culture, and their Playscape for the littlest museum visitors. My best advice is that if you only have one day, go early and fit in as much as you can. But if you’ve got two days to spend at the museum, you can definitely pace it better and revisit some of your favorite activities from the first day! Indianapolis is only a few hours from Columbus, making the Children’s Museum the perfect extended day trip or excuse for a weekend getaway. It’s the perfect way to spend your Thursday evening! * Starting July 1, visitors ages 25 and under, as well as one adult caregiver accompanying children 16 and under, will receive free admission to CMA! What activities are you planning to do at the Columbus Museum of Art this summer?
I love a good opportunity to recreate an old image I love a good opportunity to recreate an old image and the space under the Fireworks of Glass Chihuly sculpture at @childrensmuseum might be my favorite spot. Stop down there in the afternoon after the crowds have thinned out and it’s the perfect spot to take a break, enjoy the view and capture a memory from your day.1st image is from our recent trip to @visitindy with kids 2-4. 2nd image is from April 2017 with our oldest.

SwimZipReviewSharkTank_1

SwimZipReviewSharkTank_15I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best at taking care of my skin. Thanks to my Asian/Italian heritage, my olive skin usually tans and rarely burns. I could probably count on one hand the number of sunburns I’ve had in my lifetime. As a teen, I thought it was great that I didn’t have to take the time to apply sunscreen, reapply it throughout the day or ask a nearby friend to put sunscreen on my back. But as an adult, I wonder if all those carefree hours under the sun may catch up with me at some point. Liam has much fairer skin than J and I do. So since he was old enough to wear sunscreen, I’ve been using it nearly every time we spend any time outside in the summer. That’s what really excited me about SwimZip.

If you’re a Shark Tank fan like I am, you may remember seeing the founder, Betsy, on the show a few seasons ago. But if you haven’t seen the episode, SwimZip makes super stylish swimwear for babies, toddlers and kids that are not only fashionable but also functional. Every piece offers UV protection. SwimZip has also branched out to include towels, beach coverups and even UV protection swimwear for men and women.

This summer has been pretty crazy for us. We’ve been traveling quite a bit and spending tons of time outdoors – in the backyard with the sprinkler, local splash pads and friends’ pools. Playing in water is the perfect solution to staying cool
in this summer heat, so we’ve been getting lots of use out of our little SwimZip set. For your reference, because there are just so many great options to choose from on the SwimZip website, Liam is wearing the European swim shorties in the “Shark Feast” print and a long sleeve “Wave Rider” rash guard in green.

SwimZipReviewSharkTank_12The verdict: I love our set from SwimZip! As a mom, it gives me so much peace of mind knowing that his swim set is not only super cute but that it’s also protecting his skin in the process.

Aside from the sun protection, I also like that the shorts have a functional drawstring. I’ve been complaining about this for years – do you know how many companies out there make swim trunks for baby/toddler boys with a drawstring that doesn’t actually work? Any other pair of swim trunks we’ve purchased for Liam has always had trouble staying up on his waist. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind a cute little baby tush and Liam has the most adorable butt dimple, but if I buy a pair of swim trunks in the appropriate size, I’d like them to fit. The swim shorties from SwimZip we got fit Liam perfectly, but I know that when we decide to order the next size, we can tie the drawstring to ensure a great fit at any in-between stage.

SwimZipReviewSharkTank_4The rash guard swim shirts have zippers up the front, which are definitely an added bonus. Instead of having to wrangle a wet swim shirt over Liam’s head, the zipper makes it really easy to take on and off. It also dries quickly in the sun. We discovered a cute little splash pad near the Airbnb apartment we rented recently in Jersey city. Liam was dripping wet when we left the park, but his swimsuit was only slightly damp by the time we’d walked the few blocks back to the apartment. The set is also light and small enough to toss into your bag without taking up much space.

J says he’s not a huge fan of the shortie style – he prefers the look of traditional swim trunks. But the shorties don’t ride up much, if at all. Plus, Liam’s short for his age, so regular shorts and swim trunks sometimes a little too long. Either way, it’s really nice knowing that I have options of length and style when we buy another swimsuit for next year.

You can check out all the styles for your kiddo (and you too) on the website. Don’t forget to check out SwimZip’s Instagram page for the latest releases and the occasional giveaway or discount code.
