I’m convinced this is the best screen free activ I’m convinced this is the best screen free activity you could ever do with your family. My kids love watching the birds out at our bird feeder, so we added a second one to the backyard. Bird feeding is an incredible low cost hobby that teaches about birds and nature, how to care for animals, and honestly is bringing so much joy to our day.Check out @projectwildbird to learn more about all the bird feeding basics and where to find your local birding stores. Also, with Mother’s and Father’s Day coming up they have a great spring gift guide up on their website!@wildbirdfeedinst #ProjectWildbird #WBFI #BirdFeeding #BackyardBirds
Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gathe Just a gentle reminder: while big, elaborate gatherings, brunches and gifts can be nice on Mother’s Day, it’s also just a day on the calendar. Celebrating on a different day doesn’t take away from honoring you as a mom. Sharing the holiday with a mom or a mother in law or other family doesn’t make it less. If making plans for this weekend is stressing you out, it’s totally okay to do something lowkey instead. And if we’re really being honest here, moms deserve to be honored and celebrated more than just one day of the year. The “just because” flowers are always way more special than any big Mother’s Day bouquet IMO.
This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime s This is the BEST low effort, timesaving mealtime solution I’ve found in a long time. @delrealfoods is made with real ingredients and authentic flavors and tastes like everything has been slow cooked all day and made in small batches. And the reality? Dinner’s on the table in just FIVE minutes. There’s really no easier way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday.Find @delrealfoods at Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores near you.
Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve do Might be my favorite Hocking Hills hike we’ve done yet. Cantwell Cliffs: it’s a one mile rim + one mile gorge trail with several ways you can make it shorter, but I highly recommend the whole thing. It’s rated difficult for the steep terrain and steps, but still kid-friendly IMO. It also feels a little less traveled than some of the more popular hikes and all the little waterfalls along the trail are worth discovering.Trailhead: 13640 OH-374, Rockbridge, OH@myhockinghills #hockinghills #hockinghillsstatepark #hikingwithkids #ohiohiking #hikingtrail

And as much as I dislike watching baseball in the cold, I’m really savoring these last little bits of babywearing 🥹 Carrier is my FAVE from @hopeandplum, like I’ve owned a zillion carriers over the years and this one is the best for so many reasons. Who’s got their Christmas decorations up already? I love seeing the lights going up all around town. That’s always the first sign that holiday joy and magic is right around the corner. To help celebrate the arrival of the holiday season, I’ve teamed up with several of my Columbus blogger friends to bring you some of our favorite gift guides, holiday hacks and Christmas gear for the season. Whether it’s making the holidays a little less stressful or finding the perfect gift for someone you love, these Columbus bloggers have exactly what you need. Check out all their posts and let me know what your favorite holiday tip or gift item is this season!

If you’re a #boymom like me, then you’ll want to be sure to read the gift guide for young boys that Julie from What Should We Do Today Columbus? put together. She’s got a list full of toys, books, games and crafts that her own boys have loved. This gift guide is especially perfect for kids 8 and under, but some of these items are great for older boys too.

As a parent, it’s so easy to take the cheer and joy out of the holiday season and turn it into something stressful. My friend Malini from Lakes and Lattes has some great tips in her exhausted mama’s guide to hacking the holidays. I’m pretty sure I’m going to use #5 for our own Christmas breakfast. I always spend the night before and most of the morning preparing a special breakfast and it’s so exhausting. Not this year! Malini always has a way of meeting me right where I’m at with her posts and this one especially is what I needed to read.

I love Lindsay’s list of gifts for active kids. If you’re local to Columbus, Find Where You Fit my go-to blog for learning about different fitness events and classes around town. She is one of my favorite Columbus bloggers and is always looking to help people find their perfect “match” when it comes to a gym or fitness class. Lindsay’s gift suggestions are perfect for kids or all ages and included both tangible items and some class ideas too.

You know that our family loves to travel, so we’re always on the lookout for items that are helpful or fun to take along on a trip. Over at Zen Life and Travel, Katie has an awesome list of 15 gift ideas for travel lovers. I actually had a few of these items already on my list – and now I’ve added a couple more.

Circling back to fitness, this is something I’m trying to focus more on. Not just because it’s the holidays, but also because I have some personal health goals I’m working towards. Kathleen from Keep it Simple Fitness has 75 health and fitness gift ideas on the blog and her list is perfect for all types of fitness levels and passions. I especially love that she included gift suggestions for people who prioritize healthy living and clean eating.

Over at Columbus for Kids, Ashley put together a gift guide for mini adventurers. Our family is always up for a good outdoor adventure and her suggestions are perfect. I’m adding #18 to Liam’s Christmas list because it will be great to have when we go hiking and camping.

COSI is one place in Columbus we haven’t explored yet. Can you believe it? I’ve really been wanting to make it over there and I love that Eryn from 614 Mom has some great reasons why you should ask for (or give) a family membership for Christmas. I didn’t realize how quickly the membership pays for itself. It would be worth it to our family if we plan to visit more than twice in a year.

Alison from Radiance Reflected also shared a few of her favorite tips to throwing a holiday party. I love her suggestion of having a theme to help make a cohesive and fun event.

As for me, my contribution to this group is my list of Christmas tees I shared earlier this week. It has 20 of my favorite holiday-themed tees from some great small shops, plus 5 additional ones for moms! Most of these shops have additional Christmas designs in their shops, so make sure you click through to each of their websites to see what else they’re selling this season. I’d hate for you to miss out on your favorite tee this holiday season.
